HOWDEN MATTERS - A MONTHLY MAGAZINE
Contact The Adam Press

HOWDEN MATTERS was first published, every two months, as a free, 16-page 'magazine', in December, 2005. The Adam Press published it as a 'meeting place and shop window' for Howden.
From the beginning of 2007, a charge of £1 was introduced, in order to try and secure its future.
In January, 2008, HOWDEN MATTERS began to be published monthly, as a 24-page magazine, the cost remaining as £1.
From January, 2009, the magazine was extended to 32 pages, initially for a trial period, but 32 pages is shaping up to be the standard.
But not for long. In November, 2009, with sales, subscriptions, contributions and advertising increasing, the magazine was extended to 40 pages!
HOWDEN MATTERS is always on sale at: BOBINDA'S, Chappelow's, DOVE HOUSE, Leighton's Garage, PARKIN BUTCHER'S, Post Office, ROB FEATHERSTONE'S, Shire Hall Office, TOP SHOP, Touchwood Homecare, HOOK NEWS and Goole Book Shop.
Annual subscriptions can be taken out at any time of the year, via cheque, cash or standing order. Such a subscription makes an ideal gift.
HOWDEN MATTERS is currently read by well over 600 people, mainly in Howden and the surrounding villages, of course, but it reaches as far south as Newquay and as far north as Durham, not to mention Australia and North America, enabling those with Howden links to keep in touch.
